Meher Pudumjee

Meher Pudumjee is the Chairperson of her family business Thermax Ltd – an innovative engineering manufacturing company in clean air, clean energy and clean water, based out of Pune, India. She has a Masters degree in Chemical Engineering from the Imperial College of Science Technology and Medicine, and is passionate about conserving resources, greening the business and helping customers do the same. Meher represented India at the Asian Business Women’s Conference in Osaka in 2006. The World Economic Forum in 2008 selected her as a Young Global Leader for her professional accomplishment, commitment to society and potential to contribute to shaping the future of the world. She was selected CEO of the Year 2009 by Business Standard. She served as the Chairperson of Pune Zonal Council of the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII). When a member of CII's Young Indians, she chaired the National Employability initiative. She is presently on the board of ‘Teach For India’ and Chairs the board of Akanksha Foundation – both NGO’s involved in education for the economically underserved. She is also on the board of Shakti Sustainable Energy Foundation and is a director on the board of Pidilite Industries. Meher is a philanthropist, loves Western classical music, sings in a choir, enjoys spending time with her family and her dog, exercises regularly and has a zest for life!!
