Mr. Saksena is an experienced cross-asset investor with a focus on capital preservation and income generation. His approach to investing is based on his strategic advisory experience of generating over $3 billion in value for Fortune 25 clients. He has partnered with senior executives to set portfolio strategies, support restructurings, and pursue transformations. Mr. Saksena has deployed capital across a broad range of strategies, sectors and geographies. He has reviewed over 600 alternative investment managers and evaluated direct/co-investment opportunities globally. His investment expertise includes manager selection, due diligence, portfolio construction, risk management, synthetic expense management and analytics/financial modeling. He has built a diverse network of market participants to identify compelling risk/reward opportunities in public and private markets, generate proprietary deal flow, and realize value from market dislocations. Mr. Saksena has participated in restructurings of companies and funds during the GFC and the dot.com bust. He has extensive experience in repositioning portfolios, guiding recovery pursuits and realizing value from difficult to price portfolios. He has provided investor oversight in about half a dozen of the landmark fund liquidations during the GFC and pursued multiple cross-border/multi-jurisdiction fund recoveries. Before Maihar, Mr. Saksena was a Partner with IBM/PwC Management Consulting specializing in corporate strategy, restructuring, innovation, and large-scale analytics- driven transformations. At IBM/PwC, he developed innovative methodologies to value strategic options, manage complexity, and transform stranded assets. He has a first- rate education (Harvard, JEC, MIT, and Rollins) and received many awards, including the National Merit Scholarship and IBM Chairman’s Leadership Award. He is also a Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst (CAIA) charterholder. Mr. Saksena has spoken at numerous conferences on topics such as complexity, value creation, due diligence, manager selection, portfolio management and risk mitigation.
